2024 Attempt to Form Alternate Republican Party
On August 24, 2024, Bremer participated in a meeting which had been ruled illegitimate by Professional Registered Colorado State Parliamentarian Gregory Carlson.
In a letter to Colorado Republican Party Chairman Dave Williams dated August 6, 2024, Carlson stated upon review of the National Rules of the Republican Party and bylaws of the Colorado Republican Party, the attempt to oust the current leadership was improper, and illegitimate.
Participants in this meeting claimed Bremer was elected chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, but the official Colorado Republican Party recognizes Dave Williams as Chairman, Hope Scheppelman as Vice Chair, and Anna Ferguson as the Party Secretary.
RNC (Republican National Committee) Parliamentarian Al Cage concurred.
*UPDATE – On August 31st 2024 the Colorado Republican Party State Central Committee (SCC) gathered and voted overwhelmingly to Support and Retain Dave Williams as Party Chair, Hope Scheppelman as Vice Chair, Anna Ferguson as Secretary, and Tom Bjorklund as Treasurer. Controversy resolved.
